OSAKA, Japan – The 3rd Asia Symposium on Image and Graphics (ASIG 2025) successfully concluded on November 30, 2025, after three days of vibrant academic exchange and collaboration. Held jointly at Ritsumeikan University's Osaka Ibaraki Campus, the hybrid event brought together leading researchers, industry experts, and students from across the globe to share cutting-edge advancements and explore future directions in these dynamic fields.
The conference opened on November 29 with a warm welcome from the Conference Committee, emphasizing the event's role as a premier interdisciplinary platform. Prof. Yen-Wei Chen of Ritsumeikan University delivered the opening address, setting the stage for a program rich with innovation.
The scientific program featured insightful keynote speeches from world-renowned experts. Prof. Yen-Wei Chen explored "Deep Learning for Bio-Medical Image Analysis," highlighting knowledge-guided approaches. Prof. Chin-Chen Chang (Feng Chia University, Taiwan, China) unveiled "The Magic Behind the Matrix: Innovative Information Hiding Techniques," while Prof. Lik-Kwan Shark (University of Lancashire, UK) presented a novel framework for joint health monitoring in his talk "Joint Health by Listening Through the Lens of Image and Graphics."
A series of invited speeches further enriched the discourse. Experts including Assoc. Prof. Xin Hong (Huaqiao University, China), Asst. Prof. Ching-Chun Chang (National Institute of Informatics, Japan), Prof. Xiwen Zhang (Beijing Language and Culture University, China), Assoc. Prof. Yan Pang (Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, CAS, China), and Prof. Tai Fei (Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Germany) addressed topics ranging from Alzheimer's disease prediction and trustworthy AI to healthcare LLMs and automotive radar innovations.
With participants joining both in person in Osaka and remotely via Zoom, the conference facilitated seamless global interaction.
